Tom Johnson is a Napier born, sixth generation New Zealander, retired after working in senior positions in the oil industry, food and finance, New Zealand Breweries, and the racing industry. He started work as a school teacher and ended his working life as a lecturer in the local tertiary institution. The preservation of democracy and equality under the law is a commitment he has made to his children and grandchildren.
