One Law or Two Monarchs? By John Robinson and Roger Childs
For over 500 years Polynesians had New Zealand to themselves. However, towards the end of the 1700s, Europeans started arriving to exploit the resources of the country. A technologically advanced culture began interacting with a Stone Age society, and those connections increased as more and more settlers, mainly British, arrived. This book is about those interactions in the 19th century.
Roger Childs: School Curriclum "histories" submission
As probably the key element in the He Puapua strategy designed to achieve joint Maori-Crown sovereignty by 2040, the proposed curriculum is hugely important. If you are alarmed that your children and grandchildren may be indoctrinated through a heavily biased history curriculum, you should at least send in a submission. Feel free to use anything from my work below. Submissions close May 31.
